Top First Date Destinations /

We dating wizards know first hand how important it is to make an effort when choosing where to take your date. The local chippie simply will not do! So to help you out, we’ve given our top first date destinations, so you’re never short on inspiration. And remember, it doesn’t harm to get creative and break from the norm – try and take your date on an evening they will never forget!

Theatre /

A truly forgotten date destination – let’s face it the theatre is much more exciting than the cinema, and there is just as much to choose from, whether you have access to all the top shows on the West End or just pop along to support the local pantomime. It’s more glamorous than most dates and will make your date feel extra special. You can then take your date for a romantic stroll or to a bar for a drink, with the show to discuss there should be no breaks in the conversation!

Zoo /

Definitely not just for kids! Nothing beats a summer’s day wandering around the Zoo holding hands, and it offers a really relaxed environment to chat and get to know each other better.

Picnic /

As romantic as it gets, a picnic in the park really shows just how much effort you have gone to. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy – take her to your favourite park, find a nice spot with some privacy and remember a rug to sit on!

Boat Ride /

This might not be for everybody, so try and get an idea of whether she’s comfortable on boats before you book this one, and also think about how comfortable you would be driving the boat! Yours and your dates health and safety comes first, and so don’t take it too far from shore!

Fairground /

Not only will it bring back happy childhood memories, but similarly with the Zoo it provides a relaxed, vibrant atmosphere where there is lots to talk about and look at and reduces the risk of those awkward silences!

Candlelit Dinner /

It’s the oldest one in the book – go to your favourite Italian or French local restaurant, somewhere small and cosy, and enjoy a candlelit dinner for two, preferably on a summer’s day so that you can eat under the stars. The idea behind choosing one you frequent regularly is so that you can translate the menu, recommend a dish or a wine, which will make your date feel more comfortable.

Live Music /

Obviously not a good idea if you have completely different tastes in music, and it’s probably best not to go for a massive stadium concert as you won’t be able to have a conversation and it’s a little bit soulless, but going to a live music venue such as a jazz café or an outside gig is perfect for a first date.
