- Make a packed lunch for your partner and hide a love note in their lunch box.

- Write them a cheque for kisses and cuddles.

- If they read books underline words or letters in the next page they are due to read that will spell out a message like ‘I love you…’

- Make them breakfast and cut the toast into heart shapes.

- Try something new together that neither of you have done before, it could be a sport or a new kind of food. We do these things to bond in the early days and often forget that new experience re-cements things at any time.

- Put post it notes with messages on in unexpected places you know they will go when you’re not there, like the bathroom cabinet or inside of the fridge.

- On a special occasion run a bath, light candles and pour a glass of champagne ready for them if they are will be home after you.

- Buy a bunch of flowers and put one fake one in the middle with a not saying ‘I will love you til the last flower fades….’

- Write them a love letter and post it to them, home or work. It shows you’ve gone to that little extra effort to tell them how you feel.

- Plant a tree or rose bush somewhere you will always be able to go, make a point of visiting every so often just to open a bottle of wine and talk about how the plant, and your love has grown.
