First Impressions Count /

As mentioned in a previous article, First Impressions are a key point in the building of any relationship and are often a make or break moment for a new couple. It is therefore very important to make sure that you make an effort and go out of your way to impress. This does not necessarily mean eating in a lavishly expensive restaurant or showing up with a bouquet of roses, but simply doing a few small things to show your level of interest and show that you are prepared to make an effort. All is explained below.

- Dress to impress. The first thing a date will notice is how you are dressed. The next thing they will notice is your shoes so pay close attention. A good shoe choice is a must.

- Make sure you dress for the occasion. (Tip: If you are heading for the movies a suit may not be the most comfortable attire!)

- Look smart, feel smart. If you look good you will feel good, fact. And if you look and feel good you will be positively oozing with confidence.

- Good personal hygiene is a must. Everyone likes a person to smell fresh and clean. Wear a nice perfume or aftershave, but nothing too overpowering. Just enough to leave a nice lingering smell.

- Nice fresh breath and clean teeth. You never know how up close and personal you may get.

- Underwear. This is a very important topic for discussion. You may be comfortable wearing those old threadbare undies, but just what would happen if, you know, things advance further than expected. So, in conclusion, always be prepared. Nice underwear will make you feel better and more confident, and if they are revealed later it will add to the great first impression you are making.
