We’ve all done it. Flicking through the glossy celebrity magazines, it is very easy to become infatuated with a celebrity and long to find a way into their world of glitz and glamour. But to we really consider the impact that such a thrust into the public eye can have on our lives. No. That wouldn’t be any fun would it.

Down to reality, although celebrities will generally only date their own kind, it is feasible that being in the right place at the right time any one of us could land ourselves a celebrity. But what would this mean to your life as you know it? What can you expect?

One thing that is almost guaranteed, if the film ‘Notting Hill’ has tought us nothing else, is that you can expect a massive invasion into your personal lives. Expect every friend, ex, acquaintance to try and sell their 2¢ ‘s worth to the press. Expect your whole life up until this point to be dissected and analysed piece by piece.

There are some positive things to expect. Expect some degree of wealth. Expect to be wined and dined. Expect invitations to celebrity functions. Expect designers and companies to shower you with products in the vain hope that you will appear photographed with it.
